International Program Manager:

Are you looking for a new way to use your valuable clinical laboratory experience? The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI)—a volunteer-driven, membership-supported, not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing standards and guidelines for the healthcare and medical testing community and promoting their use globally, is seeking to hire a full-time International Program Manager to work virtually from any location. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Planning, developing, managing, and implementing logistic and administrative activities to support Global Health Partnerships (GHP).
  • Support GHP grants and contracts in assigned countries.
  • Serving as key liaison and manager for CLSI volunteers and contractors in assigned countries
  • Building and maintaining relationships, working with the GHP Staff to provide project logistical support to volunteers, contractors, contracting organizations, Ministry of Health (MOH), and others as directed.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the volunteer and contractor program.
  • Budgeting and operating within the set budgets for each contract.
  • Developing monthly project/country-specific reports
  • Participate in Quality Management Systems (QMS) training and workshop content development as needed.

The qualified applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree in the health or life sciences or project management. Experience in clinical or medical laboratory testing is desired. Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems implementation will be an added advantage. Four years of relevant experience is strongly preferred. Prior experience managing committees or project teams is a plus. Must have experience with Microsoft Office products.

Program Manager:

The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI)—a volunteer-driven, membership-supported, not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing standards and guidelines for the health care and medical testing community—is seeking a full-time program manager. 

Responsibilities of this senior-level position include providing staff leadership for oversight and management of all activities associated with assigned CLSI committees; managing the development of assigned documents and products; identifying emerging needs in assigned technical areas; implementing programs for recruitment, retention, and recognition of volunteers in assigned areas; and assisting in the development of effective marketing communications and education programs. The qualified applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree in one of the health or life sciences fields, have a minimum of five years experience in a relevant discipline and at least three years of project management and/or personnel management experience. Knowledge of the healthcare-service industry, the global and national standards environments, and/or the role of consensus standards in health-related fields is a plus. Clinical laboratory and molecular diagnostics experience is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products is a must. National and international travel is required.

Project Manager:

The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI)—a volunteer-driven, membership-supported, not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing standards and guidelines for the health care and medical testing community—is seeking a full-time project manager. 

Responsibilities of this positing include planning and managing all aspects of product development from initiation through delivery; building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders; overseeing tasks associated with timely product development such as assignment tracking and timeline adherence, internal department communication on task delivery, and progress reporting; ensuring compliance with product development policies, processes, and procedures; and ensuring all project targets, timelines, budgets, and requirements are met. The qualified applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree in health or life sciences fields or project management, project management certification (PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable). Experience with project management principles, software resources, and processes and two years of relevant experience are preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products is a must. National and international travel may be required.
