PK/PD Workshop Presented at CLSI Committees Week
2/8/2019
At CLSI’s first Committees Week of 2019 in St. Augustine, Florida, volunteers presented an education session on Recent Advances in Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) and Its Use in Setting Breakpoints.
The education session was organized by volunteers on the Outreach Working Group, which is part of CLSI's Subcommittee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST). The session was moderated by Linda A. Federici Miller, PhD of CMID Pharma Consulting, LLC. The panelists included Joseph Kuti, PharmD of Hartford Hospital, who focused on the AST perspective; John D. Turnidge, MD, BS, FRACP, FASM, FRCPA of the Adelaide Medical School & School of Biological Sciences, University of Adelaide, who focused on the Veterinary AST perspective; and David Andes, MD of University of Wisconsin Health, who focused on the Antifungal perspective. Panelists then answered questions at the end and participants in the education session were eligible to earn PACE® continuing education credits.
The presentation handouts can be found on our website under the filter "Education Session: Recent Advances in Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) and Its Use in Setting Breakpoints."
